Facebook a Family

There are almost 7 billion humans on the planet and Facebook has connected almost 1 billion of them. What does that mean? I am simply amazed at that number. These are families who want to stay in contact with other members of their family or friends. What other company has ever come close to saying they have 1 billion member/users. None, I can think of at this time.

Where does Facebook go from here? I see them as a family and I see the person at the head of the company trying to remain a family company. Free to you and I to send messages, photos to each other. You can play games and stay in contact with old friends. It is a company that is grounded in family and neighbors. There are always going to be people that have bad thoughts and misuse a company to exploit themselves.

I believe in good and that 99.99% of the world are good people. I think Facebook will get the backing they need by the users of Facebook to succeed in keeping Facebook a free communication connection. It will take a commitment from users and I think a great number of you will make the effort to support a great company like Facebook. If you make an effort to buy one share of stock in the company it will ensure your communication to family and friends.

There could be gloom in our future and I am not going to go thru a list of them but I will say what I saw in the past year. I saw a few families that said the cost of gas got to a point where they could not take a vacation to their family in another state. Economy plays a part in our plans. Being connected to your family is important and you can do that by uploading pictures and making comments in real time to your family on Facebook.

What about family in foreign countries? In the past it took a snail mail to get information and pictures to family. Then came Email but no one could see what all was saying at the same time. Now we have Facebook and I don’t have to say what a wonderful communication system it is for foreign relatives.

Again I want to say that 1 Billion of us should be owners of Facebook. That is 1/7th of the planet connected by one source. The cost to be an owner is at a very low cost for now but there is talk about large financial groups making large purchases of stock. We still have time to get our one share of Facebook stock. After August 15 the stock available to the public to purchase will only be about 268 million shares and that will mean that 630 million of you will be left out as owners. I am an owner because I went out and bought my shares because I wanted to be one of the owners of Facebook. It make sense to me to own something I use and will use into the future.
